  1. Heat oil in a kadai add mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, chopped chilli, when it splutters then add asafoetida, curry leaves, ginger, onion chopped and tomato chopped, cook for 3 minutes on low flame.
  2. Then add cashew nuts and potato chopped, cover and cook for some time. Then add vermicelli stir it continuously, then add salt to taste, sugar and 3 cups of water.
