  1. Get 2 cups fermented white(safed) dholka batter
  2. You need 1 cup boiled and grated beetroot
  3. Take 1 tbsp green chillies-ginger paste
  4. Use 1 pinch hing
  5. You need to taste Salt
  6. Use 1 tsp oil(to mix in batter)
  7. Get 1/2 tsp soda bi carb
  8. Provide 1 tsp oil for greasing
  9. Prepare For tempering:
  10. Provide 1 tbsp oil
  11. Prepare 1 tsp mustard- cummin seeds
  12. Provide 1 tsp white sesame seeds
  13. Use Few curry leaves
  14. Prepare Handful Chopped fresh coriander leaves to garnish

  17. Use As required Tomato ketchup
Instructions to make Beetroot Dhokla:
  1. Grind boiled and grated beetroot in mixer to make puree. Add & mix salt, green chillies ginger paste to white dhokla batter. Add & mix beetroot puree.
  2. Grease 7" round thali. Add & mix gently soda bi carb and oil in prepared beetroot dhokla batter. Pour in grease thali. Keep in dholka steam cooker. Cover and steam for 20-25 mins till done.
  3. Cool for 5 mins. Cut into pieces. In small tadka pan add and heat oil. Do tempering of mustard and cumin seeds as they splutter add curry leaves and white sesame seeds. Pour this tempering on prepared beetroot dhokla. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  4. Serve/ Relish Hot Nutritious Beetroot Dhokla with green coriander chutney and tomato sauce.
