  2. Take 500 gm beetroot
  3. You need 1 litre milk
  4. Provide 2 tbsp sugar

  1. Beetroot Halwa:-
  2. On a medium flame, cook the beetroot for 5-6 min. So that the beetroot is slightly cooked and become soft.
  3. Now add milk,bring the whole mixture to a boil and then simmer.Keep on stirring at intervals.
  4. The grated beetroots will cook in the milk and the milk will start to reduce and evaporate.
  5. When the milk has 75% to 80% reduced, add rest of ghee, sugar and milkmaid to the halwa mixture. - well and continue to simmer and cook on a low flame.
  6. Towards the end, add the cashews, almond, cardamom powder and raisins (if using) and simmer till all the milk is evaporated.
