The ingredients needed to prepare Mysori uttapam:
  1. You need 3-4 cup rava/semolina
  2. Prepare 1 cup sour curd
  3. Provide 1 tsp salt
  4. Get as needed Water
  5. Prepare 1/2 tsp fruit salt
  6. Provide 2 Onions chopped
  7. Provide 1 Tomato chopped
  8. Prepare 5-6 garlic cloves
  9. Get 5-6 Curry leaves
  10. Get 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  11. You need 2 whole green chillies
  12. You need 2 tbsp chana dal
  13. Use 2 tbsp urad dal
  14. You need 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  15. Take 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  16. Take 1 inch Ginger
  17. You need 1/2 cup Dry coconut
  18. Provide 2 tbsp Oil
Steps to make Mysori uttapam:
  1. In a bowl add curd, and smoothen it out a bit to this add semolina or rava and mix add salt.
  2. Add water such that it stays in thick pourable consistency. Keep aside for 30 mins.
  3. Now, for the mysore masala, in a khadai, add 1tbsp oil, to this add Mustard, curry leaves, chana daal, urad daal, ginger, garlic and onions, green chilli and dry coconut. Sauté.
  4. Add turmeric and kaahmiri red chilli powder. Sauté. Add salt.
  5. And make a smooth paste. Use water around 1tbsp.
  6. Add the fruit salt to the batter and lil bit of water if needed. Mix properly.
  7. Now, heat a tawa and rub some oil using a half onion. (This doesn't lets the uttapam stick to the tawa).
  8. Then pour some of the batter. Spread.
  9. On this add the mysore mix and spread chopped onions and tomatoes over it. Cover and cook 20 sec. Add lil bit of oil to the sides if needed.
  10. Flip and cover 10sec.
  11. Your mysore uttapam is ready, garnish with coriander leaves and serve with your favourite chutney.
