- Soak urad dal and chana dal for 2-3 hours in water.
- Add 1/4tsp of salt and watrr and pressure cook till 3 whistles on low flame. keep aside
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker. fry onions chopped, add meat pieces and ginger garlic paste. mix well. then add all the dry masala powder, salt and water. close the lid. pressure cook till 3 whistles. let it cool. then open cook till the gravy is dry (bhuno)
- Then add washed nonya saag and mix with the meat. cook for 2 mins. then add the cooked urad dal. mix well add 1cup water to make gravy. close the lid. pressure cook till another 3 whistles on low flame.
- Note the whistles i counted is for my pressure cooker. it may differ from the other pressure cookers.
- As soon as the steam is out from the cooker. sprinkle some garam masala and serve urad dal nonya saag gosht with chapatis/rice.
