  3. Get 2 tbsp Rasam powder
  4. Provide 1-2 green chilli

  7. You need as needed Little jaggery
  8. Prepare 2 tbsp grated coconut
  9. Take as needed Fresh coriander leaves
  10. Prepare as needed Few curry leaves
  11. You need 1 tbsp ghee for seasoning
  12. Take a pinch each Hing (asafoetida),mustard and jeera (cumin) for seasoning
Instructions to make Moong dal Rasam:
  1. In a pan pour little water add chopped tomatoes,coriander leaves,curry leaves and little turmeric powder.Allow it to boil.
  2. Now grind coconut and green chilli with little water.In this grinded paste add water and filter it. Here we have to add only coconut water not grinded coconut.
  3. Now add cooked moong dal in the pan and stir.Add more water as required.You can add water as you wish and maintain the consistency.Now add salt,rasam powder and little jaggery.Let it boil.
  4. Now add grinded and filtered coconut water.Stir well.
  5. Remove from flame.For seasoning - In a small pan add little ghee.Add mustard seeds,jeera and hing.After they splutter off the flame.
  6. After the rasam becomes little warm then Squeeze the juice of lemon in the rasam and add the seasoning to the rasam.
  7. Delicious Rasam is ready.
