Steps to make Mysore rasam:
  1. Coarsely pulverize red chilli, peppercorn, garlic, shallot, jeera, coriander seed and keep it aside.
  2. Add oil in a hot pan. Once the oil is hot, add mustard and let it splutter. Add urad dal, red chilli and curry leaves
  3. Add the coarsely crushed spices, jaggery, salt and tamarind pulp to the pan. Add 2 cups of water and let it boil for 2 mins
  4. Sprinkle powdered fenugreek seeds
  5. Switch off the flame
  6. Garnish rasam with coriander leaves
