- Soak the chole overnight. Drain water. Pressure cook for 6 whistles adding water salt and baking soda.
- Make paste of onion garlic. Make tomato puree.
- Heat a kadhai. Add oil.
- Add bay leaf whole red chilli and hing.
- Add jeera. Let splutter.
- Add the onion and garlic paste.
- Cook till water evaporates. Add the tomato puree.
- Add red chilli powder chole masala some salt and cook adding some water.
- When water evaporates add boiled chole. Adjust seasoning. Cook covered for 10 to 15 minutes.
