  2. You need 1/2 kg Boiled chickpeas-
  3. Provide 2 medium Finely chopped onions-
  4. You need 3 large Finely chopped tomatoes-
  5. Take 1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  6. You need 2 tsp red chilli powder
  7. Take 1/4 tsp turmeric
  8. Get 1 tsp garam masala
  9. Get 1 tsp amchur powder / dry mango
  10. You need 1 tsp black pepper powder
  11. Take 1 tsp cumin powder
  12. You need 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  13. Take For making pattice we need-
  14. Provide 6 large Boiled potatoes-
  15. Prepare 1 tbsp cornflour
  16. You need 1/2 tsp turmeric
  17. Use 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  18. Prepare For garnishing we need
  19. Use 3 cups curd/yogurt
  20. You need 2 tbsps powdered sugar
  21. Get 1 cup finely chopped carrot and cabbage
  22. Take as required Green chutney (coriander and mint)
  23. Provide as needed Imli-jaggery chutney / tamarind chutney
  24. You need as needed Water
  25. Prepare as per taste Salt
Instructions to make Ragda-pattice:
  1. Wash and soak the chickpeas overnight, strain that water and boil them in fresh water without adding salt the next day.
  2. The chickpeas should be 3/4 th done when you turn-off the gas. In a kadai, add oil and add the cumin seeds. When the cumin seeds start sputtering, add onions and saute on a high flame until they turn light brown. Then add ginger-paste, turmeric, red chilli powder and saute for 2-3mins. Then add the tomatoes, cumin powder, black pepper powder, garam masala and cook for 5-10mins. When the masala starts leaving the oil, add the boiled chickpeas, little water and give it a stir.
  3. Cover the kadai with a lid and cook for about 5mins. Add salt and aamchur powder, mix properly and remove from heat.
  4. Take the boiled potatoes and mash them with clean hands. Add the cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric and salt in it. Apply some oil on your palms, take a small portion of the potato mixture and make a patty or pattice. Shallow fry all the patties and keep them aside. Take curd/yogurt in a bowl, add the finely chopped carrot and cabbage in it, powdered sugar and mix it well. Add more sugar if desired.
  5. Take a plate, keep 2 pattice, pour the chatpata chana masala over it, then put the curd-carrot-cabbage mixture on top of it and finish it off with some green and imli chutney. Your ragda-pattice is ready to serve and I'm sure everyone in your family will love my #favourite recipe ❤
